Finance Analyst in the Finance Department of Haig Housing. The role involves processing income, bank reconciliations, and managing rent transactions while ensuring accuracy and meeting daily deadlines.
Location & Working Arrangements
Location: Hybrid – minimum 3 days a week at the Victoria head office. Flexibility for additional in‐office work as required.
Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience.

Key Responsibilities
- Process and record all income including rent, service charges, and other receipts.
- Manage daily bank reconciliations and ensure accurate posting of bank receipts.
- Upload SAF files from CX to SUN and resolve upload errors.
- Handle GRO, standing orders, all pay and rent downloads daily, dealing with errors before uploading to CX.
- Administer the Tenants' Decoration Allowance scheme accurately and efficiently.
- Process other tenant payments including bereavement allowances, condolence payments and other rent adjustments.
- Maintain accurate rent debits (weekly, bi‐weekly, monthly, quarterly) and ACR postings.
- Develop and maintain working relationships with Housing Benefit departments, DWP offices, and external providers.
- Manage suspense account clearance, review ledgers for unusual balances, and liaise with CX and SUN.
- Set up new suppliers, manage supplier bank account detail changes and process bad debts, charitable rent donations, and cash collections.
- Provide support to the finance team with invoice processing, contractor queries and company/land‐registry searches.
- Ensure compliance with the Trust's policies, procedures and legal obligations.
- Perform any other reasonable duties as directed.

Person Specification
Qualifications / Education
- AAT, ACCA or CIMA qualification or working towards an accountancy qualification.
- At least 3 years' experience in a finance role with income processing and bank reconciliation responsibilities.
Essential Knowledge, Skills & Experience
- Experience in income processing and rent accounting.
- Experience of daily bank reconciliations.
- Experience of inputting financial data into accountancy systems.
- Clear attention to detail while maintaining the bigger picture.
- Competent user of MS Outlook, Word and Excel.
- Experience in communicating with colleagues at all levels.
Desirable
- Experience in accounts & office IT systems, including CX and SUN.
- Experience working in housing association or charity sector.
- Clear identification with charitable purpose and tireless working for beneficiaries.
