Scottish Veterans Residences (SVR) has a rare and exciting opportunity for the right candidate to join our Activities team, as part of our successful Join In Live Well programme. We are Scotland's oldest military charity with an array of resources at our disposal to support former Armed Forces and Merchant Navy personnel, who are homeless, at risk of homelessness, or who otherwise need housing support. We seek to maximise their independence and provide support to move on to appropriate, permanent accommodation wherever possible.

This key post will involve developing and delivering a wide-ranging health and wellbeing programme of activities to residents of all ages at Whitefoord House in Edinburgh, and providing support to joint initiatives combining with SVR's residences in Dundee and Glasgow.

  • Residential trips to Moffat and Lochgoilhead
  • Operation Cairngorms
  • Go-karting, fishing, golf, football, BJJ, walking, cycling, rock-climbing
  • Arts and crafts, bowls, boat trips, archery, go-karting, gardening and more.

You will be able to demonstrate a track record of organising and delivering supporting and recreational activities for adults. You should be reliable, consistent, focused, and flexible in both your outlook and approach. Applications from candidates associated with the Armed Forces and Veterans community are also encouraged.
