About Us

We’re Blind Veterans UK, a charity that helps vision-impaired ex-service people from every generation rebuild their lives after their sight has been affected. Founded in 1915, by Sir Arthur Pearson, to help the many veterans losing their sight after the First World War, we have over a century of experience providing the best care to our veterans.

Since then, we’ve provided support to tens of thousands of vision-impaired veterans, helping them to regain their independence. By providing our members with the tools and skills they need to lead a fulfilling and active life, we ensure they remain valued members of society.

We’re one transformational team that believes every visually impaired veteran should be able to lead the life they choose.

Due to the implementation of a charity-wide Transformation Programme, we are currently seeking a Transformation Project Co-ordinator to join us on a full-time basis, working 35 hours per week, for a fixed-term secondment contract until 31st May 2026.

The Benefits

– Salary of £35,682.10 per annum (pro rata)
– Generous annual leave with the option to buy additional days
– Pension scheme with generous employer contributions
– Access to legal services and mental health support
– Employee assistance programme
– Home working allowance
– Professional and personal development
– Life Assurance

This is a brilliant opportunity for a detail-driven project co-ordinator with experience managing cross-functional workstreams to join our dedicated and purpose-led organisation.

You’ll be part of a major transformation programme that’s shaping how we deliver life-changing support to vision-impaired veterans, playing a central role in projects that improve services and strengthen our long-term impact.

Working remotely with a passionate, collaborative team, you’ll gain valuable experience in change delivery while helping ensure our veterans can lead fulfilling, independent lives after sight loss.

So, if you’re ready to use your skills to help us build a better future for vision-impaired veterans, we’d love to hear from you.
