An exciting opportunity has arisen; do you want to make a real difference to the lives of people who have served in the armed forces and their families? We are looking for someone with strong interpersonal skills, able to work as part of a team and independently, who is compassionate and enthusiastic about supporting the armed forces' community. This role is part time working 28 hours a week over 4 days on a fixed term contract for 1 year. If you have family and carers welfare experience, this role may be for you.

DMWS is an international charity that has been providing medical welfare support to the armed forces community for over 80 years.

Responsibilities
  • Provide welfare support to members of the armed forces community and their families.
  • Collaborate with DMWS team and external partners to deliver compassionate and effective welfare assistance.
  • Work both as part of a team and independently to meet the needs of beneficiaries.
  • Manage a part-time schedule: 28 hours per week over 4 days.
Qualifications / Requirements
  • Experience in family and carers welfare is desirable.
  • Strong interpersonal skills; ability to engage with diverse stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team; compassionate and enthusiastic about supporting the armed forces' community.
  • Full UK Driving Licence and access to a vehicle required for the role.

  • Note: £25 contribution towards eye tests and £50 towards glasses for DSE use.
