We are expanding our team at our Fenwick office. The successful applicant will be responsible for managing a diverse, well established portfolio of forest properties. You would join a dynamic, driven team with a range of experience represented and be supported by a raft of expertise from within the organisation. There would be good scope for career development with opportunities for line management and development of the next generation of Forester.

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrable forestry experience and relevant academic qualifications, we are seeking an experienced Senior Forest Manager / Forest Manager to join our team. The ability to undertake most aspects of the roles and responsibilities of a Forestry Works Manager is important for the Forest Manager/Senior Forest Manager role.
  • To be successful in this role you must be professional, self-motivated and be capable of working on your own and as part of a team.
  • You will have proven operational experience in a similar role where you have been involved with woodland management and direct client communication.
  • You will be highly organised with excellent communication skills, be IT literate and have a sound knowledge of silviculture and Scotland’s Forestry Grant Scheme.
  • Experience of working with contractors, project management and managing health & safety are all highly desirable.
  • Ideally, applicants should have relevant academic qualifications, though this isn’t considered essential, and hold a current full valid driving licence (essential for the role).
  • Professional membership of the Institute of Chartered Foresters or progressing towards attaining chartered status or another similar professional qualification is preferred.

  • Demonstrable forestry experience and relevant academic qualifications.
  • Self-motivated, professional, able to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Operational experience in woodland management and direct client communication.
  • IT literacy and knowledge of silviculture and Scotland’s Forestry Grant Scheme.
  • Experience with contractors, project management, and health & safety.
  • Current full valid driving licence (essential).
