Develop electrical system designs, single-line diagrams, load schedules, and schematics. Perform calculations for power distribution, earthing, lighting, and cable sizing. Design LV and/or MV systems according to Singapore standards and authority requirements (EMA, SP Group, BCA, SCDF).
Project Management
- Coordinate electrical works with architects, M&E consultants, contractors, and vendors.
- Review technical drawings, material submissions, and method statements.
- Monitor project progress, ensure workmanship quality, and conduct site inspections.
- Perform testing and commissioning of electrical systems, switchboards, generators, UPS, and other equipment.
- Troubleshoot electrical issues and implement corrective actions.
- Ensure preventive and predictive maintenance plans for electrical assets.
Compliance & Regulatory Requirements
Ensure all designs and installations comply with: SS 638 (formerly CP5) EMA Licensing and Regulations.
Safety & Risk Management
- Conduct risk assessments and apply safety engineering principles.
- Strong understanding of power distribution, electrical protection, load flow, and system reliability.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit MEP, ETAP or similar electrical modelling tools.
- Knowledge of local regulatory frameworks and electrical code compliance.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
