Purpose of the role
This role leads Quality Assurance (QA) for a Salesforce project, overseeing strategy, team management, and testing efforts. Key duties include defining test plans, executing functional, regression, and data migration tests, and implementing automation using tools like Selenium and Provar. The role involves defect management, collaboration with developers to resolve issues, and ensuring solutions meet business requirements through stakeholder interaction and user acceptance testing (UAT). Additionally, the QA lead drives continuous improvement by adopting best practices and providing feedback to enhance product quality and testing efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
Quality Assurance Leadership:
- Define and implement the overall QA strategy for the Salesforce project.
- Lead a team of QA engineers, assign testing tasks, and mentor team members.
- Collaborate with project stakeholders to define acceptance criteria and testing requirements.
Testing Planning and Execution:
- Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts for Salesforce configurations, customizations, and integrations.
- Perform functional, regression, integration, and system testing.
- Validate data migration processes to ensure accuracy and completeness.
Automation Testing:
- Design and implement test automation frameworks for Salesforce solutions.
- Leverage tools like Selenium, Provar, or other Salesforce-compatible testing tools to automate repetitive test cases.
Issue Management:
- Identify, document, and track defects using tools like Jira or similar.
- Work closely with developers to debug and resolve issues.
Stakeholder Collaboration:
- Partner with business analysts and end-users to validate that the solution meets requirements.
- Support user acceptance testing (UAT) by preparing environments and addressing reported issues.
Continuous Improvement:
- Implement QA best practices and processes to improve test coverage and quality.
- Provide feedback on processes, configurations, and development practices to enhance product quality.
Experience :
- 5+ years of experience in quality assurance, with at least 3 years focused on Salesforce projects.
- Proven track record of leading QA teams and delivering high-quality software.
Technical Skills:
- In-depth knowledge of Salesforce testing, including custom objects, Lightning components, and integrations.
- Proficiency with test automation tools like Selenium, Provar, or similar.
- Strong understanding of Salesforce APIs for integration testing.
- Experience with data validation, including pre- and post-migration checks.
- Familiarity with test management tools like Jira, TestRail, or Zephyr.
Soft Skills:
- Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
- Effective leadership and team management abilities.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills.
Certifications :
Preferred:
- Salesforce Administrator
- ISTQB Foundation Level Certification or equivalent.
