Purpose of the role
The Business Systems Manager will manage the delivery and support of business applications, IT Infrastructure, and end-user computer support to the Conexus business. Working alongside the CISSO, the BSM will act as a partner to the business, collaborating with stakeholders to ensure the effective provision of IT support and optimizing the usage of business-critical applications, MSO365, and supporting IT infrastructure and EUC devices. This hands-on role bridges the gap between end-users and systems, ensuring our internal platforms meet the needs of all areas of the Conexus business.
- Act as a business partner to business stakeholders, understanding their needs and aligning systems accordingly
- Serve as the primary liaison between users and other technical teams and suppliers, translating requirements into system changes
- Provide effective support and maintenance for critical business systems and applications
- Provide effective systems administration, including user access, license, and asset management
- Work with MSP to ensure provision of IT infrastructure, EUC and MSO365 support to business users
- Provide hands-on technical support and troubleshooting for internal stakeholders as needed
- Lead the implementation of system patching, improvements and new functionality releases
- Oversee and manage relationships with third-party vendors and managed service providers
- Ensure successful integration of tools across front and back-office functions
- Support change management and training related to system updates and enhancements
- Provide regular reporting on the delivery and cost of IT and business system support services
What we’re looking for
- 5 + years of experience in delivering business and technical system support
- Proven experience in managing the provision of application support and administration, across front and back-office business systems (CRM, ERP, HR, Finance etc)
- Experienced in supporting both cloud (ideally MS Azure) and on-premise network, storage and server infrastructure
- Sound knowledge of MSO365 application suite, including MS Teams and Unified Communications tools
- Experience in supporting End User Compute (EUC) devices, operating systems and tooling (MS OS, Intune)
- Experience working as a business partner across both back and front office and cross-functional teams
- Ability to manage and coordinate third-party vendors and managed service providers effectively
- Solid technical skills and problem-solving abilities
- Knowledge of common ERP, HR and Finance applications and tooling
- Demonstrated capability to implement and drive system improvements
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Hands-on, proactive working style
- Good knowledge of ITIL service management principles and best practice, including good understanding of Incident, Problem, Change and Asset management
- Good understanding of IT security management processes and best practice (ISO27001 and CE+)
