Purpose of the role
The Business Analyst works with leaders and teams across the organization mapping current and to be processes, capturing functional and nonfunctional requirements and recommending improvements to process, functionality and user experience for both our staff and our customers.
The output of this work is the foundation for working with the wider Technology, HR, Finance and other operational teams to assist the design of future-proof state-of-the-art technology led, efficient solutions to delight our staff and customers alike. Making our processes easier, faster, better quality and more affordable.
In addition, this role will monitor and routinely report on process performance and improvements in key metrics.
- Achieve business goals by mapping, analysing, and evaluating requirements and processes, and suggesting improvement across departments.
- Provide management with project status updates, feedback, and appropriate reporting on key responsibilities and objectives.
- Produce and maintain end to end business process maps for Finance, HR, Payroll, and other areas of the Conexus business as required
- Capture, analyse and classify the functional and non-functional requirements of HR Payroll and Finance teams, and other areas of the business as required
- Analyse and recommend improvements to business process workflows, automation, functionality and user experience
- Work with IT lead, Product Owner and business stakeholders to ensure development of new tooling and applications meets the key functional and user requirements of the business users
- Building a culture of continuous improvement.
What we’re looking for
- Experienced in working with operational teams and key stakeholders to capture, analyse and classify both functional and non-functional requirements.
- Experienced in mapping and analysing end to end business and operations process flows.
- Experience using process improvement methodologies and a track record of sustainable process change.
- Proficient in capturing and defining user epics, stories, journeys & experience.
- Familiar with requirements analysis, classification and prioritisation techniques such as MoSCoW.
- Broad strategic thinker, with a clear vision and direction of world class operational excellence and able to see across business areas.
- Excellent presentation skills with strong analytical, oral communication, and technical writing capabilities.
- Relationship building with senior stakeholders across multiple departments and geographies.
- Ability to scope, plan, execute, and track projects with autonomy.
- A track record of professional development for self.
- Ability to work independently and in group settings.
- Business Analysis Certification (ISEB) or equivalent.
- Fundamentals of Project Management.
- Experienced in using data analysis and process flow mapping tools (eg Visio, Miro, Power BI, MS Office etc).
- Experience in working in agile projects and common tooling (eg Jira, MS Project etc).
