The predicted salary is between 36000 - 60000 £ per year.
To be eligible to apply for the ARRS GP role candidates must:
- Must not have been substantively employed as a GP in general practice previously; or
- Is not employed in a temporary capacity as a locum; and/or
- Upon commencement of employment is less than 2 years beyond their certificate of completion of training being issued by the GMC.
The post-holder will manage a caseload and deal with a wide range of health needs in a primary care setting, ensuring the highest standards of care for all registered and temporary patients.
Working Arrangements
You will have a base at Trinity Medical Centre Wakefield (which will also be used for the purposes of claiming mileage) but will be required to work flexibly across the PCN GP practices and premises and potentially across the Wakefield District. As the role requires you to commute across the Wakefield District applicants should either hold a full driving licence, which is valid in the UK, and hold the relevant car insurance to cover travel for business purposes or have the ability to be mobile by using other modes of transport for which reasonable expenses will be payable. Hours to be discussed at interview. Where you may be required to support clinical services outside of these hours, time off in lieu will be made available.
Main duties of the job
In accordance with the PCN/General Practice timetable, as agreed, the post-holder will make themself available to undertake a variety of duties including surgery consultations, telephone consultations and queries, visiting patients at home, checking and signing repeat prescriptions and dealing with queries, paperwork, reports and correspondence in a timely fashion.
This position is fixed-term with a contract end date of 31/03/2026 but may be extended subject to additional funding being confirmed and the requirement for the role to be continued
