Overall Purpose of the Role: As a Senior HR Advisor, you will manage a team of HR Advisors to ensure the accurate delivery of a range of HR services to the client(s), while supporting the HR manager(s) in their duties. You will ensure timely, accurate work completion, undertake related HR functions, and liaise with client employees on service issues.
Key Responsibilities:
- Line manage a team of HR Advisors, monitoring effectiveness and motivating, coaching, and encouraging performance and development.
- Set, monitor, review and assess individual and team performance through objective setting and regular performance appraisal using Conexia Guidelines.
- Carry out Conexia management activities (performance, 121’s, training, attendance and absence management) within required timeframes, ensuring adequate resources to meet service delivery requirements.
- Manage workflow to maintain customer service standards when assigning case work to HR Advisors.
- Ensure team members consistently use knowledge management systems, manuals, and operate in accordance with policies, procedures and legislation.
- Liaise with HR Manager(s) to identify support needed for HR Advisors’ work.
- Ensure all work meets SLA’s, KPI’s and Shared Service Centre standards.
- Handle telephone, email and post queries related to HR Services.
- Perform BA and quality checks as required within timeframes.
- Provide support to team members while remaining service‑focused.
- Stay updated on HR Service issues.
- Collaborate with HR Manager(s) to promote continuous improvement and communicate implemented improvements.
- Attend internal and external meetings as required.
- Attend training as required and apply learnings to improve performance.
- Conduct investigations for complaints, incidents, etc.
- Other tasks may be assigned over time based on business need, following consultation with the post holder.
Team working and planning and organising are also expected.
Qualifications / Professional Training Skills and Experience:
- Experience working within an HR environment.
- Excellent organisational skills demonstrating ability to manage large, complex workload within agreed timescales while maintaining accuracy.
- Ability to work flexibly to meet operational needs.
- Experience managing and supervising a team.
- Experience engaging with clients.
- Experience using CRM and HRMS.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience with integrated HR systems.
- Experience of using performance management techniques effectively.
- Tribunal experience.
- Experience leading employee relations investigations.
- Managing/supervising a team within the past five years.
Vetting: This role requires security vetting to CTC level; candidates must have lived in the United Kingdom or Republic of Ireland for a minimum of three years at the time of application.
