This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Tax Manager to join the expanding Finance team of a leading international law firm in Leeds.
Reporting directly to the Group Tax Director, you'll play a key role in managing the firm's UK tax compliance, advisory and reporting activities, while working closely with accounting teams across Europe and Australia.

You'll take responsibility for a broad portfolio of UK tax activities, combining hands-on compliance with advisory work, process improvement and stakeholder management.
- Managing the preparation of UK LLP Group tax returns, including income tax computations and corporation tax returns.
- Supporting the Group Tax Director with UK direct tax compliance across the LLP Group.
- Working with finance and accounting teams across the UK, Europe and Australia.
- Preparing the annual PAYE Settlement Agreement and coordinating associated tax payments.
- Monitoring changes in UK and international tax legislation and assessing their impact on the business.
- Providing advice on emerging tax issues and supporting the wider Finance team with tax-related queries.
- Taking the lead on tax audits, including liaising with relevant tax authorities and implementing any required changes.
- Identifying opportunities to improve and streamline tax compliance processes.
- Providing tax guidance and training to colleagues across the business.
- Keeping up to date with developments in tax legislation, accounting standards and international tax requirements.
We're looking for a technically strong and commercially aware tax professional who can confidently manage their own workload while working collaboratively with colleagues across an international organisation.
Requirements:
- ATT qualification or another relevant tax/accountancy qualification.
- Previous experience in tax and accounting, ideally within a professional services environment.
- Strong knowledge of UK tax legislation and experience working with UK tax compliance.
- An understanding of international tax legislation and the ability to assess its impact across different jurisdictions.
- Experience with VAT, corporation tax and/or partnership tax.
- The confidence to explain complex tax matters clearly to non-tax specialists.
- A commitment to ongoing professional development.
