Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver product strategies that drive profitable growth within the Plumbing & Heating category.
- Conduct market and competitor analysis to identify trends, risks, and commercial opportunities.
- Agree pricing structures with the commercial team and manage product pricing strategies in line with market conditions and business objectives.
- Analyze sales and performance data to support forecasting, planning, and decision-making.
- Lead product launches ensuring effective collaboration across sales, marketing, and supply chain teams in the UK and Poland.
- Collaborate with central planning to develop and maintain stock strategies that optimize availability, working capital, and demand.
- Support the UK sales team with product insight, tools, and strategic guidance and training.
- Build business cases and present commercial recommendations to senior leadership for each new product introduction.
- Work closely with internal teams and external partners to ensure effective execution and success of the UK product strategy.
- Provide technical support and act as a liaison for product-related queries.
- Manage customer complaints related to product failures, quality issues, and procedures in conjunction with Group Quality.
- Investigate product failures and compliance issues in collaboration with Group Technical.
- Provide instructions on intercompany stock transfers, product code changes, and re-labeling, working closely with internal teams.
- Support and contribute to supplier negotiations, including verification processes with Poland for all processed orders.
- Undertake regular travel, including supplier visits, overseas both in-house and at supplier premises.
Qualifications and Skills
- Experience within the plumbing and heating products industry.
- Strong commercial and analytical mindset.
- Hands-on, collaborative team player with a strategic approach.
- Demonstrated experience in stock control, supplier management, and product life-cycle management.
- Strong supplier negotiation awareness and commercial acumen.
- Advanced Excel skills.
