Conekt Legal is currently partnering with a well-established and growing defendant insurance practice to recruit a solicitor into their growing casualty practice in Belfast. This is an excellent opportunity for a junior solicitor to gain hands-on experience managing a varied caseload of Employer’s Liability and Public Liability claims, while developing within a supportive and forward-thinking team.

This role would suit solicitors from NQ to 2 years PQE with previous litigation experience.

The Role
  • Manage a caseload of litigated EL/PL matters within the County Court
  • Draft pleadings, witness statements and legal documents
  • Liaise with insurers, insured parties and third parties
  • Instruct counsel and attend hearings, mediations and settlement discussions
  • Conduct witness interviews and assist with case strategy
  • Work closely with colleagues to deliver strong outcomes for clients
About You
  • Qualified Solicitor (NQ – 2 PQE)
  • Experience in litigation (defendant insurance experience beneficial but not essential)
  • Strong communication and organisational skills
  • Confident, proactive and keen to develop
