The employment and labour practice comprises 400+ lawyers globally, advising multinational businesses on coordinated employment and benefits solutions across jurisdictions. The UK team operates as a single practice of 40+ specialists across employment, pensions and immigration, and is expanding. This is a very clear career path for an experienced employment lawyer who wants international project work without relocating to London.
Key Responsibilities
- Advise major UK and multinational employers across a broad matter mix, including HR advisory, workforce restructures, investigations, senior exits, outsourcing and DEI projects
- Provide employment support on corporate and M&A transactions
- Contribute to large-scale global projects alongside colleagues across the firm's international network
- Build and maintain client relationships, and contribute to business development
- Coach and mentor mid-level and junior members of the team
- Contribute to thought leadership and speak at client seminars
Requirements
- Extensive employment law knowledge, with substantial experience advising large organisations with 5 + years PQE
- Transactional support experience
- Advanced drafting and legal research skills
- Capability to work autonomously and manage matters independently
- Experience with international clients (desirable)
- Strong academic record
