Conekt Legal is partnering with a leading national law firm to recruit a Knowledge Lawyer into its highly regarded Employment team, which is consistently ranked in Chambers UK and Legal 500. The team operates as a single national practice across England & Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland, advising a high-quality client base including listed and major organisations across sectors such as financial services, retail, telecoms, energy and the public sector. The culture is collaborative, supportive and focused on continuous professional development.
The role is based in Glasgow but can offer strong levels of flexible working. This role is open on a full-time or part-time basis and can be based from any of the firm’s regional offices. It would suit a Scottish or England & Wales qualified solicitor already working in a knowledge or professional support role, or an experienced employment fee-earner looking to move into a knowledge-focused position. The position would suit a qualified solicitor with 5+ years PQE specialising in employment law and with significant experience of dealing with respondent clients.

The Knowledge Lawyer will play a central role in supporting the Employment practice by developing, maintaining and sharing high-quality legal know-how. The role involves creating and updating precedents, practice notes and guidance, curating and annotating external resources, and responding to complex technical queries from fee earners. You will monitor legal and regulatory developments, assess their impact on the practice and ensure updates are embedded into knowledge materials. The position also includes designing and delivering internal training for trainees and junior lawyers, producing regular legal and market updates, and, where appropriate, delivering training to clients. Working closely with other Knowledge Lawyers, risk and business services teams, you will help ensure knowledge resources are accessible, well-used and aligned with the firm’s systems. There is also a strong focus on identifying efficiencies through process improvement, technology and legal project management, as well as contributing to thought leadership, publications and tender materials. Mentoring and supporting trainees in developing research and knowledge skills forms part of the role.
You will be!- Qualified Solicitor – Scotland/England & Wales
- 5+ years PQE gained specialising in employment law
- Very strong legal drafting skills and high levels of attention to detail
- Strong analytical skills and research skills
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate complex legal information
- An interest in innovation and the use of legal technology to support legal delivery
