We are looking for a Sales Engineer who will bridge the gap between our product and our customers. You’ll be the go-to technical expert, helping prospects see how Conduktor can solve their business and technical challenges. You’ll work closely with our Sales team, translating our technology into real-world value and ensuring that our solutions make an impact and drive positive business outcomes for our customers. This is a hybrid role based in our London office; we work onsite together on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays.

What will you be doing?

  • Collaborating closely with our sales team to demonstrate and communicate the value of Conduktor throughout the sales cycle, from demo to proof of concept to design and implementation.
  • Diving into client challenges to recommend how our platform can improve their data streaming processes.
  • Participating in sales meetings and presentations, and providing training to our sales team on the technical aspects of our products or services.
  • Staying up to date with new opportunities, industry developments and competitive and complementary technologies; using this knowledge to identify how Conduktor’s products or services can meet customer needs, and to provide input on product strategy to our technical teams.
  • Assisting in technical onboarding and providing support during the trial phases.
  • Creating technical content (presentations, documentation, etc.) that shows off the value of our platform.

What experience are we looking for?

  • You have 4+ years of industry experience selling at a B2B SaaS company, with a product targeted towards developers, ideally in the Apache Kafka space.
  • You know your MEDDIC.
  • You have experience selling and closing deals with enterprise or large mid-market accounts in DACH region.
  • You have excellent verbal, written, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills. Being equally comfortable interacting with executives and talking shop with technical audiences, you are very capable of selling in both a business and technical context.
  • You can build strong operational and collaborative relationships with people in distributed teams and locations.
  • You have a solid understanding of streaming or messaging systems like Apache Kafka, Pulsar, Rabbit MQ, JMS, as well as Linux operating systems and basic principles.
  • Your demos tell a story, capture an audience, and inspire your prospects.
  • You have the ability to qualify and execute proof-of-values, (success criteria - documentation), activities, and customer success engagement.

  • You’ve previously worked in an early-stage start-up (Seed - Series B).
  • You’ve worked with partners - Hyperscalers (AWS, MSFT, Google), other Independent Software Vendors (ISVs) and Regional System Integrators (RSI).
