(NOTE: This is an initial six-month contract, with a strong prospect of becoming a permanent role as our project pipeline develops)
Join CONDUCTR as a BIM Coordinator and help bring ambitious immersive attractions and experiences to life worldwide. You’ll bring complex designs together in one coordinated model, making sure everything fits from design through to fabrication and installation.
About us:
CONDUCTR is a dynamic collective of designers, technologists, media experts, producers & engineers. The vision is simple - fuse the creativity of a design studio, with the innovation of a tech lab, to create a one-stop shop for extraordinary guest-centric, 360 attraction experiences.
Key Responsibilities:
Model management and coordination
- Set up, maintain and federate project models in Revit and Navisworks (or equivalent) in line with the client's BIM Execution Plan and ISO 19650 workflows.
- Run clash detection across structure, scenic, MEP, AV, lighting, show control and containment; log, chase and close out clashes with the responsible team.
- Model and maintain CONDUCTR's own scope (equipment, mounts, racks, containment, control positions, access and maintenance zones) to the agreed LOD at each stage.
- Manage model versioning, naming conventions, worksets and the common data environment (CDE) for each project.
- Act as CONDUCTR's BIM lead on client and contractor coordination calls; issue and receive models, point clouds, surveys and drawings through the CDE.
- Produce coordinated 2D drawings, sections, setting-out information and equipment schedules from the model for design, fabrication and site teams.
- Review incoming architectural and structural models for changes that affect our scope and flag them early.
- Support construction engineering and fabrication with model-derived data for steelwork, scenic and mounting design.
- Support site and installation teams with as-built updates and verification against surveys and scans.
- Help the estimating and bid team with quantity take-offs and model-based scope checks on new tenders.
Standards and improvement
- Maintain CONDUCTR's Revit families and content library for standard show equipment.
- Contribute to CONDUCTR's internal BIM standards, templates and workflows so they outlast the contract.
You should have:
- 2+ years in a BIM Coordinator, BIM Technician or senior Revit Technician role on construction, fit-out or specialist engineering projects.
- Strong Revit (modelling, families, worksharing) and Navisworks (clash detection, federation, Clash Detective reporting).
- Working knowledge of ISO 19650, BIM Execution Plans, LOD/LOI definitions and CDE workflows (e.g. Autodesk Construction Cloud, BIM 360, Aconex or Asite).
- Able to read and produce construction drawings, sections and setting-out information to a standard a fabricator or site team can build from.
- Experience working with point clouds and site surveys inside the model environment.
- Organised and comfortable chasing clashes and model updates across several companies at once.
- Clear written and spoken English; happy presenting the model on client coordination calls.
- Right to work in the UK and able to be in the Manchester office regularly.
It would be great if you have:
- Experience on themed entertainment, attractions, museum, cruise ship, exhibition or live events projects.
- Familiarity with MEP, AV, lighting or show-equipment modelling, or with specialist contractor scope inside a main contractor's model.
- Structural steel, scenic or fabrication detailing experience (Tekla, Inventor or SolidWorks a bonus).
- Dynamo, Revit API or scripting to automate repetitive modelling and data tasks.
- Rhino, SketchUp or similar for early-stage design coordination.
- Experience with US or Middle East projects and their drawing and coordination conventions.
- A relevant degree, HNC/HND or an industry BIM qualification.
What we offer:
- A competitive salary and benefits package.
- A vibrant, inclusive, and dynamic work environment.
- Opportunities for personal and professional growth.
- A chance to be part of a forward-thinking team making a real difference.
