We're on the lookout for a People Business Partner who will play a critical role in enabling CONDUCTR's next stage of growth. Partnering with senior leaders and managers, you'll drive performance, strengthen leadership capability, and ensure people practices are commercially aligned as we scale. This is not an administrative HR role; it is a strategic, hands-on partnering position focused on organisational effectiveness, talent development, and risk management in a fast-growth environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Business Partnering
    • Act as a trusted advisor to senior managers
    • Translate business strategy into practical people plans
    • Support workforce planning aligned to growth forecasts
    • Contribute to organisational design decisions
    • Coach leaders on structure, capability, and team effectiveness
  • Performance & Talent Management
    • Own and evolve the company-wide performance enablement framework
    • Lead pay review cycles
    • Support managers with goal setting aligned to strategic priorities
    • Identify high-potential talent and succession pipelines
    • Build structured development and progression pathways
  • Leadership & Manager Capability
    • Coach managers on leadership, feedback, and accountability
    • Design and deliver practical management development initiatives
    • Support new manager transitions
    • Embed a high-performance, feedback-driven culture
  • Employee Relations & Risk
    • Lead ER cases (disciplinary, grievance, absence, capability)
    • Provide commercially sound and legally compliant guidance
    • Ensure consistency and fairness across decisions
    • Mitigate employment risk as the organisation scales
  • Change & Organisational Effectiveness
    • Support change initiatives including restructuring and team evolution
    • Drive engagement through effective communication and consultation
    • Use people data to identify trends and risks
    • Improve team performance through targeted interventions
  • Reward & Policy Development
    • Support salary benchmarking and banding frameworks
    • Contribute to reward philosophy development
    • Review and evolve people policies to reflect business maturity
    • Ensure alignment between performance and reward

What Success Looks Like:

  • Managers are confident and capable people leaders
  • Performance conversations are consistent and robust
  • High-potential talent is identified and developed
  • ER cases are managed professionally and proportionately
  • Organisational changes are well-structured and low risk
  • People strategy clearly supports commercial objectives

You should have:

  • 5+ years’ HR experience, including partnering at senior level
  • Strong knowledge of UK employment law
  • Demonstrable experience managing complex ER cases
  • Experience designing or owning performance frameworks
  • Confident influencing senior stakeholders
  • Experience working in a scaling or high-growth environment

It would be great if you have:

  • Experience working in a scaling or high-growth environment
  • CIPD Level 5 or 7
