Join us as a Show Systems Design Engineer, sitting at the intersection of creative vision and technical delivery, designing and commissioning integrated show systems for world-class immersive experiences.

Responsibilities:
- Design technically robust, innovative, and commercially sound show systems across concept, schematic, and detailed design phases.
- Own system design packages, translating creative intent into fully resolved technical solutions.
- Produce and review schematic and detailed drawings using tools such as AutoCAD, Revit, and Stardraw.
- Design integrated audio, video, lighting, and show control systems for immersive and experiential environments.
- Develop system specifications, architecture documentation, and site-specific technical reports.
- Design maintenance methodologies and supporting documentation to ensure long-term system performance.
Technical Documentation & Commercial Support:
- Create and maintain high-quality technical documentation, including Bills of materials (BOMs), system schematics and wiring diagrams, installation, commissioning, and maintenance documentation.
- Support bid packages, tenders, and RFP responses with strong technical input.
- Develop feasibility studies, technical solutions, and cost estimates for bids and creative workshops.
- Ensure proposals balance creative ambition, performance, risk, and commercial viability.
- Contribute to client-facing technical presentations and documentation where required.
Integration, Programming & Commissioning:
- Lead or support system integration activities across projects.
- Where applicable, program and configure lighting, show control, and/or audio systems.
- Support testing, commissioning, and fault-finding to ensure systems meet design intent.
- Participate in post-installation reviews and contribute to defect resolution and system optimisation.
Project Delivery & Client Engagement:
- Work closely with Creative, Art & Media, Software, RND, Production, and Project Management teams to deliver coordinated projects.
- Collaborate with external suppliers, integrators, and subcontractors.
- Attend project meetings, technical workshops, and site meetings.
- Communicate clearly with clients, providing practical technical advice and recommendations.
- Provide technology feasibility assessments that support both creativity and project constraints.
Leadership & Team Contribution:
- Provide day-to-day technical guidance and informal mentorship to Junior Design Engineers.
- Support onboarding and development through knowledge sharing and best-practice guidance.
- Assist with recruitment activities and the ongoing development of in-house technical capability.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of engineering standards, processes, and workflows.
Supply Chain & Partner Support:
- Support the identification, qualification, and evaluation of external suppliers and outsourcing partners.
- Provide technical input into partner selection, system compatibility, and delivery capability.
- Help maintain strong working relationships with manufacturers, vendors, and integration partners.
Professional Standards & Continuous Improvement:
- Stay up to date with emerging technologies and best practices in show systems and immersive environments.
- Continually challenge and improve technical solutions to enhance quality, reliability, and innovation.
- Represent the company professionally on-site and with clients and partners.
- Be prepared to travel domestically and internationally as required.
You should have:
- Experience designing and delivering integrated AV, lighting, and show control systems, ideally within LBE, themed entertainment, museums, or live experiences.
- Strong technical documentation and systems thinking skills.
- Confidence working with multiple stakeholders, including creatives, clients, and contractors.
- A collaborative mindset with an interest in mentoring and team development.
- Willingness to travel as projects require.
