CDTR are seeking a rockstar Creative Lead who will drive the vision and execution of tech-driven, immersive entertainment experiences. Reporting directly to the Creative Director, this role is central to shaping the creative vision of projects, ensuring that concepts are both innovative and aligned with client expectations. The ideal candidate will excel at leading the creative process on a project basis, collaborating across teams to bring ideas to life. The key focus is on delivering world-class kick-ass creative experiences that bridge the gap between physical and digital entertainment to make the guest go ‘wow.’
Responsibilities:
- Creative Leadership: Drive the creative vision for projects from concept to execution, ensuring high-quality, innovative solutions that align with both client objectives and CDTR’s brand values.
- Experience Design: Lead the design of engaging competitive social experiences that merge physical and digital elements. Focus on user-centred design that delivers intuitive, compelling interactions for all users.
- Project Ownership: Lead the creative process for multiple projects simultaneously, maintaining oversight from ideation through to delivery. Ensure that every aspect of the creative execution meets timeline and quality expectations.
- Client Collaboration: Work closely with clients to understand their goals, pitch creative concepts that captivate, and ensure that the final product exceeds expectations. Be the point of contact for all creative aspects of the project.
- Innovation and Ideation: Continuously generate new ideas and creative strategies, staying ahead of trends in entertainment and technology to deliver ground-breaking concepts.
- Presentation and Pitching: Present creative concepts, project updates, and final deliverables to both clients and internal teams, showcasing your ability to articulate the creative vision and its alignment with client goals.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with producers, developers, and technical teams to ensure that creative ideas are executable and aligned with production realities.
- Management and Mentoring: The ideal candidate will have experience working with junior team members, directing concept artists and freelancers, and liaising with 3rd party suppliers and specialists.
- Proven experience or strong understanding of how to bring creative concepts to life in real physical spaces, with awareness of how the space supports guest interaction and movement.
- As a Manchester-based company, and with this being a hybrid role, we require candidates to be UK-based and able to commute to the office occasionally.
You should have:
- 5+ years of experience in a creative and/or technical design role, preferably within themed entertainment, experiential, or interactive product design.
- Strong portfolio showcasing creative ideation and tech innovation with an emphasis on the guest experience.
- Proven ability to take creative ownership of projects, from ideation through to final delivery.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, particularly in pitching creative ideas and guiding clients through the creative process.
- Proficient in the usual creative software. Skills in 3D software a bonus.
- An understanding of user behaviour, gaming mechanics, and tech-driven entertainment experiences advantageous.
- Creative to the core. A passion for pushing creative boundaries and delivering innovative tech-driven entertainment experiences.
