What We Do Conduct is building the AI operating system for Enterprise IT, starting with the deepest cost center and innovation bottleneck in global business: the day-to-day operation, maintenance, and change management of mission-critical enterprise systems. Across the world’s largest companies, thousands of internal analysts and developers, plus fleets of external consultants, spend their days manually understanding custom code, resolving incidents, analyzing processes, and preparing system change requests. For many enterprises, this translates into hundreds of millions of dollars per year just to keep core systems running—slowing down innovation at the very center of the business. Conduct changes this fundamentally. We’re the first system that actually understands enterprise applications bottom-up: from the single code line, to logic, to entire system interdependencies and can reason about them the way the best human experts do, but at machine scale. We’re starting with SAP, the backbone of over 90% of global commerce. Customers such as Daimler Truck, Rittal, and Heidelberg Materials already use Conduct to automate system analysis, resolve issues in minutes, cut millions in IT spend, and accelerate ERP transformations by months. But SAP is only the starting point. We’re building toward a future where enterprise systems are self-aware, self-healing, and continuously optimizing across the software stack. We turn Enterprise IT from a bottleneck to a driver of innovation velocity.
We are a high-talent-density team of ~20, founded by former Palantir engineering and product leaders and built around a simple principle: we hire only the most ambitious, driven, and dedicated people who want to build category-defining technology in a culture of intensity, ownership, and pace. If you want to shape the new era of Enterprise System Intelligence, Conduct is where you can do the most important work of your career.
Role Summary We’re looking for AI-native product engineers: excellent software engineers with exceptional instincts for working with LLMs. You know how to prototype fast, tune prompts effectively, and build production-quality end-to-end features that matter. You’re not just interested in AI. You know how to ship with it and you bring the engineering skill to do it right. At Conduct, we’re building tools to tackle one of the biggest and most underserved problems in IT: helping the world’s largest companies understand, maintain, and modernize the tens of millions of lines of custom code running on legacy ERP systems. The scale is enormous, and the opportunity even more so. You’ll work across the full stack - shipping frontend UI, integrating LLMs and generative AI tooling, building backend logic - and operate in fast cycles with massive scope alongside a team that cares deeply about winning. If you’re a great engineer with product obsession, LLM intuition, and the hunger to build something enduring, we’d love to talk.
Why This Role Inbound customer demand: We are seeing strong demand for new features. You will expand our ability to meet that demand with speed. Translating signal into product: You’ll be working closely with real users, turning raw feedback and behavioral insights into product experiences that truly land. Your work will shape the interface between LLMs and enterprise users at scale. Make LLMs feel magical: Many upcoming features rely on non-trivial LLM behaviour through complex agent pipelines. Your job is to make these complex workflows feel simple and seamless. Iterate in the unknown: Getting to great outcomes will take fast prototyping, instinct, and a lot of trial and error. There are no perfect solutions: just creative, persistent execution. Own the experience: You’ll ship full-stack features including UX, backend, and prompt logic. You’ll have a direct impact on how our most important customers experience the product.
Profile We welcome candidates across all experience levels. What matters most is mindset: perseverance, curiosity, and a track record of shipping things that matter. You should:
- Be an excellent software engineer, or on a clear trajectory to become one, through demonstrated work and learning velocity.
- Be deeply excited and motivated about shipping product to users.
- Have strong product instincts and creative drive.
- Have a sharp intuition for working with LLMs, knowing how to prompt, tune, and integrate them into compelling user experiences and with evidence of this through work, side projects, or hackathons.
- Use AI tools as a natural part of daily development, understanding how to use them most effectively and when they should be avoided.
- Operate comfortably across the stack building UI, backend logic, and prompt workflows as needed.
- Learn fast, prototype even faster, and use customer feedback to guide iteration.
- Be high-agency, resourceful, and outcome-driven; thriving in ambiguity and getting things done without waiting for permission.
- Be happy working in person with the team in our Fitzrovia, London office by default to build an exceptional company together.
Technologies We’re an engineering team that values strong fundamentals and fast iteration over experience with specific tools. That said, here’s a snapshot of the technologies most relevant to product engineers today:
- Languages & Stack: Primarily TypeScript, with parts of the backend in Kotlin. Product engineers work full-stack: frontend, backend services, and LLM integrations.
- LLM Integration: We support both real-time and async LLM workflows across retrieval, search, and generation over large codebases.
- Tooling & DevX: Development is containerized and local-first, with CI/CD via GitHub Actions. Prompt iteration and observability tools support rapid experimentation and feedback loops.
- Deployment & Infra: While product engineers aren’t expected to own infra, familiarity with Git-based deploys and Terraform-managed environments is helpful.
Working at Conduct We’re a high-energy, high-trust team with big ambitions. Our culture blends focus, intensity, and humour: we’re serious about impact, but never take ourselves too seriously. We’re here to build a generational company, and we know that means pushing past limits whilst enjoying the ride together. In our Fitzrovia office, collaboration is fast and constant. Everyone owns their outcomes and takes initiative, but we succeed only as a team. We believe in learning fast, supporting each other radically, and finding joy in the process. We know that building a company is a journey that we are all on together - whether you’re a Co-Founder, an early hire, or a future colleague - and we are intentional about growing together as a team and as individuals. We therefore work with Diana Chapman, one of the world’s most renowned leadership coaches, to bring the principles of her Conscious Leadership movement into how we work as an organization through company-wide executive coaching.
Benefits We want Conduct to offer the best possible environment for everyone on the team to do their life’s work. We believe that a variety of backgrounds, perspectives, and experiences makes us stronger and helps us build better together. We particularly encourage applications from groups that are under-represented in technology and engineering, as we know that diverse teams create the best solutions.
