In short: one of Conduct's first marketing hires, owning employer brand and our talent community. You will make the case, to exceptional people in every function, for why Conduct is where they should do their life's work.
Why Conduct: The world's largest companies compete by being different, and most of that difference lives in software they built for themselves. It decides how parcels reach your door and how food reaches the supermarket. That software is their advantage. It is also the hardest thing in the business to change safely, so good ideas wait months, sometimes years, for the systems to catch up.
Every large enterprise has a software company hiding inside it. Conduct is building its operating system. It reads a company's code and processes, works out what has to change, and helps the business and its systems move together. We start with SAP, and go wherever custom software has grown too complex to change safely.
Rio Tinto, Daimler Truck, and DHL already trust us with their most critical systems. We have signed partnerships with major systems integrators, just raised a $60M Series A, and demand is ahead of what we can serve.
We are a talent-dense team doing our life's work in London and New York. Extreme ownership, high velocity, low-ego collaboration. What you build here shapes the company, and how the world's largest companies operate.
About the role: We're looking for someone to own employer brand and talent community as part of the founding marketing team. Hiring exceptional people fast enough is the biggest challenge Conduct faces. We're scaling from about 70 people to 500, across engineering, deployment strategy, go-to-market and operations, and every one of those candidates needs to understand why Conduct matters.
You will articulate why Conduct matters to talent: who we are, what we care about, why the product matters and where it is going. You will take the case the founders make for the company's ambition and turn it into something every candidate hears, from the careers page to the final interview. You will work closely with the talent team on candidate experience, and with our Social & Community Lead, who owns our social channels and developer community, to bring the employer brand to life online.
You will also build Conduct's talent community: the people who aren't ready to join yet but should be one day. You will design recruiting and talent events across every function, and relationships that keep great people close.
What you'll do:
- Tell the talent story. Write the talent narrative: why work at Conduct, the opportunity areas and the vision, with a clear story for each function we hire into.
- Own the careers experience. The careers page, job descriptions, candidate materials and everything we say to candidates.
- Shape candidate experience. Work with the talent team on a consistent, high-touch process, from candidate prep packs to how the founders' case for Conduct shows up in every interview.
- Create employer brand content. Produce films, stories and assets that show what it is really like to work here, for the Social & Community Lead to amplify on our channels.
- Build our talent community. Design recruiting events, talent dinners and programmes that keep great people close until the timing is right.
- Shape partner events. Combine thought leadership with recruiting at events with partners like Anthropic, OpenAI and Legora, with Owned Events leading production.
- Welcome new joiners. Create a values document and welcome pack for new Conductors, in partnership with internal comms.
What we're looking for:
- A generalist with sharp taste and a relentless drive to ship. You have built things before (brands, communities, events, side projects) and you have strong opinions on what great looks like. You see a gap and fill it.
- Exceptional writing and editing. This is the most important skill for the role.
- A clear spike in employer brand, and the range to contribute across the wider marketing team.
- A track record of building an employer brand or talent community that helped a company hire, ideally across technical and commercial roles.
- Experience at a fast-moving tech company, and comfort with a broad mandate and the pace that comes with it.
- The ability to make things yourself, in words, video and visuals, rather than only brief them.
- Genuine conviction about the problem Conduct solves. Experience in enterprise software or AI is a strong plus.
- A bias to action. You are hands-on whatever your seniority.
- An appetite for being in the office every day, close to the team and the work.
- Your seniority does not matter. Ambition, craft and the ability to turn ideas into high-quality work quickly do.
- We sponsor visas from everywhere. We're convinced diverse teams build better products, and we especially encourage people from groups underrepresented in tech to reach out.
