What We Do
Conduct is reinventing how enterprises run their legacy software, solving a multi-billion-dollar problem at the core of global business and manufacturing. While the world’s largest enterprises still rely on decades-old systems, we bring them back to the technological frontier.
Our AI platform transforms weeks of manual system analysis into instant insights, turning customization chaos into clarity. We help industry leaders such as Daimler Truck ($40bn+ revenue) and Rittal ($3bn+ revenue) cut millions in IT costs, accelerate ERP project timelines by months, and unlock revenue faster with smarter systems.
We’re beginning with SAP, but that’s only the start. At Conduct, we are pioneering a new era of Enterprise System Intelligence and are on a mission to transform the entire enterprise stack.
Role Summary
As Conduct scales rapidly to more and more enterprises, we’re looking for pragmatic, high-agency engineers with SAP and ABAP expertise to help us build our platform and AI framework. This is a high-impact opportunity to combine deep SAP expertise with cutting-edge AI, working at the heart of a fast-moving startup.
As an ABAP Developer at Conduct, you’ll bring deep SAP context into a broad world-class engineering team. That means contributing to product, from backend service design to AI framework development, while shaping how our platform integrates with, interprets, and modernizes SAP.
If you thrive in ambiguity, enjoy building from first principles, and want to go far beyond traditional ABAP development, we’d love to talk.
Why This Role
- Bridge SAP and AI: Use your SAP knowledge to help build AI agents and frameworks that make enterprise systems understandable.
- Full-stack impact: You’ll contribute to backend services, infrastructure, and product features — not just SAP code.
- Mentor and elevate: You’ll share your expertise with non-ABAP developers, helping the whole team become more effective in SAP contexts.
- Shape integrations: You’ll influence how Conduct builds reliable, scalable SAP integrations used by some of the world’s largest enterprises.
- Startup impact: As an early ABAP hire, your contributions will directly shape product, culture, and process.
Profile
You should:
- Have 2–3+ years’ experience in ABAP / SAP development (technical consultant, ABAP developer, or similar).
- Be eager to branch out from ABAP into AI, automation, and new technologies.
- Enjoy digging into how SAP really works under the hood, not just surface-level development.
- Be comfortable mentoring others and explaining SAP concepts to teammates without prior ABAP experience.
- Be pragmatic and resourceful, moving fast while making trade-offs under ambiguity.
- Be happy working in person with the team in our Fitzrovia, London office by default to build an exceptional company together.
Technologies
We value strong engineering fundamentals over knowledge of specific tools, but here’s a snapshot of the technologies and contexts you’ll work with:
- SAP/ABAP: General ABAP code and support for SAP frameworks to enable our AI agents to understand and interpret SAP systems.
- Languages & Stack: Primarily TypeScript, with parts of the backend in Kotlin. Product engineers work full-stack: frontend, backend services, and LLM integrations.
- LLM Integration: We support both real-time and async LLM workflows across retrieval, search, and generation over large codebases.
- Tooling & DevX: Development is containerized and local-first. Prompt iteration, observability tools, and evals support rapid experimentation and feedback loops.
- Deployment & Infra: While product engineers aren’t expected to own infra, familiarity with Git-based deploys and Terraform managed environments is helpful.
