Overview

Head Residential Surveyor (North West and Midlands) – RICS-qualified surveyor, seeking a leadership opportunity with good work-life balance. Our client is a thriving independent surveying practice known for high-quality reports and exceptional client care. This role offers leadership responsibility while maintaining a balanced workload.

What you’ll be doing

  • Lead & develop a small team of surveyors
  • Hands-on involvement with larger and more complex residential instructions
  • Oversee quality control through audits and report reviews
  • Organise and deliver in-house training & professional development
  • Monitor CPD progression across the team
  • Ensure health & safety compliance for surveyors in the field

What we’re looking for

  • Strong experience in residential building surveying
  • Current RICS membership (AssocRICS/MRICS/FRICS)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving ability
  • Excellent communication skills, with the confidence to lead, mentor and inspire
  • A detail-driven approach and knowledge of relevant legislation
