We’re excited to be partnering with a global engineering and technology business to support the growth of a brand-new data science team within their R&D function. This is a great opportunity to join at an early stage and help shape how data and machine learning are used to deliver real value to customers.
As a Data Scientist, you’ll join a newly formed scrum team alongside Data Engineers and DevOps specialists, working end-to-end from model development through to production deployment. Our client is looking for someone passionate about Data Science and research.
What you’ll be doing:
- Developing machine learning models using large, complex datasets to generate accurate predictive insights
- Building and refining automated training pipelines that continuously improve model performance
- Working closely with engineers and domain experts to translate data into practical solutions
- Communicating findings clearly to a range of stakeholders, both technical and non-technical
- Contributing to code reviews and helping establish best practices within the team
- Keeping up to date with emerging tools, techniques, and trends in data science
What skills you'll bring:
- A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Physical Sciences, or another highly quantitative field
- Around 5+ years’ experience in a data science role, with a strong focus on machine learning
- Strong Python programming skills
- ML Ops experience
- Experience working with version control systems (e.g. Git)
- Exposure to cloud platforms and containerisation would be advantageous
- Strong communication skills in English; additional languages are a plus
