Are you an experienced leader in the drainage or highways sector ready to take the next step? We’re looking for a hands-on Contracts Manager to oversee our client's busy operational hub. You’ll be the driving force behind multiple contracts, from cyclical gully emptying and reactive jetting to CCTV inspections and emergency call-outs, ensuring safe, high-quality delivery every time. This is a great chance for an experienced Depot/Contracts Manager to make a real impact in a growing and collaborative team!

Responsibilities

  • Overseeing and programming day-to-day works across multiple contracts.
  • Leading by example to promote and manage safe working practices at all times.
  • Ensuring standards of work, KPIs, and contractual targets are consistently achieved.
  • Taking full accountability for depot performance – including P&L responsibility.
  • Supporting, mentoring, and managing depot and contract teams.
  • Building strong, lasting client relationships through clear communication and excellent service.
  • Driving business development opportunities and pricing new works.
  • Conducting regular site audits with a focus on quality and health & safety.

What we’re looking for

  • Experience in a similar role within drainage and/or highways.
  • Strong knowledge of operational programming and resource planning.
  • A solid understanding of drainage and highways processes.
  • A proactive, people-focused leader who thrives in a busy, fast-moving environment.
  • CSCS card holder (desirable) and Health & Safety qualifications (SMSTS/IOSH desirable).
