Are you a skilled Maintenance Technician looking for a role where every day brings something new? We’re recruiting on behalf of a growing UK organisation who are looking for an Electrical Maintenance Operative to join their expanding team supporting a portfolio of commercial sites. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a stable, privately owned company with ambitious growth plans, offering long-term career security and an excellent work-life balance. Although based at my client's site in Newport, you will be responsible for the maintenance across multiple sites so a full driving license/ability to travel across sites is essential.
What you’ll be doing:
- Carrying out planned and reactive electrical maintenance
- Diagnosing faults and completing effective repairs
- Conducting site inspections and maintenance checks
- Ensuring all work is completed in line with health & safety regulations
- Logging completed work and materials using internal systems
- Supporting safe working practices including Permit to Work procedures
What we’re looking for:
- NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation (or equivalent)
- 18th Edition Electrical Regulations
- Completed electrical apprenticeship
- Full UK driving licence
- Strong understanding of health & safety and risk assessments
- Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively
- Comfortable using IT systems for job logging and reporting
