We are currently seeking an experienced and safety-oriented Master to take command of our vessel Voyager. The Master will be responsible for the overall safe operation of the vessel, including navigation, compliance, crew management, and commercial performance. This is a leadership position requiring strong decision-making, communication, and organizational skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Overall command of the vessel, ensuring the safe, secure, and efficient navigation and operation at all times.
- Implement and maintain the vessel’s Safety Management System (ISM), ensuring full compliance with all international, flag state, and company regulations.
- Ensure adherence to MARPOL, SOLAS, STCW, ISPS, and all applicable maritime conventions.
- Maintain discipline and professional conduct onboard; lead and mentor all officers and crew.
- Oversee cargo operations, ballast control, stability, and ensure the vessel meets all regulatory and commercial requirements.
- Ensure accurate and timely reporting to company headquarters and shore management.
- Act as the company’s representative during port state control inspections, audits, and vetting processes.
- Ensure voyage planning, including ECDIS route approval, weather routeing, and risk assessment.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of navigational and operational regulations and promote a strong safety culture onboard.
- Lead emergency drills and ensure crew readiness in all emergency scenarios.
- Ensure accurate logbook entries and documentation in compliance with legal and company standards.
