OverviewWe are looking for an experienced and highly organised Transport Manager to join the team at our flagship branch in Horsham, West Sussex.
In this key operational role, you\βll be responsible for the smooth running of our delivery fleet and transport operation β ensuring vehicle compliance, managing drivers, and maintaining exceptional service for our customers.
Responsibilities
Plan and schedule all deliveries across the branch
Oversee inspections and servicing of vehicles and cranes
Ensure full compliance with O licence and driver hours regulations
Liaise with vehicle and equipment suppliers
Manage fuel usage and negotiate best prices
Lead a team of drivers, promoting high standards and customer focus
Monitor and report on vehicle defects, accidents, and congestion charges
Maintain accurate records, including tachograph and WTD spreadsheets
Enforce health & safety protocols and maintain a safe working environment
Work collaboratively across Lords Group Trading when required
