The Role
Condé Nast Traveller is seeking a Digital Editor on a 12-month Fixed Term Contract. The successful candidate will ideate, commission, edit and write dynamic and innovative content and collaborate with fellow global digital editors to create on brand stories and packages across platforms (digital, print, social, podcast, video, etc.) He/She/They will need a keen understanding of SEO, analytics, an eye for catching early trends, as well as an always-in-the-know mind-set. Ability to work across markets (and time zones) is important and speed and accuracy in reporting are a must. This role reports into the UK-based Digital Director.
What will you be doing?
- Plan, commission and edit engaging content across digital platforms
- Plan and maintain weekly/daily publishing schedule
- Under the direction of the digital director and audience growth manager, monitor performance and analytics to hit KPIs
- Work with commercial teams to help execute native advertising ideas, sponsored editorial packages and offer commercial solutions
- Oversee annual tentpoles from planning stages to publishing, working closely with global teams and across print, social, video, commerce and commercial
- Finalise and approve all editorial content published on cntraveller.com
- Act as an ambassador of the brand both internally and externally
About you
- A proven Editor with at least 5 years of experience in commissioning and editing copy, with a strong eye for house style and experience in sub-editing and fact-checking
- A global address book of on brand writers
- An extensive knowledge of travel and the UK’s food industry and the PR teams who work within it are a must
- Exceptional organisation and time management skills
- Exceptional communication skills
- Experience in working across teams and central functions
- A clear understanding of CNT brand values and tone
