We are headquartered in New York and London and operate in 32 markets worldwide, with a footprint of more than 1 billion consumers across print, digital, video and social platforms.

Condé Nast thrives on collaboration, and our teams come together in the office four days a week (Monday – Thursday).

We value diversity of background, views and cultures. We celebrate people for their personal qualities, skills and contributions, recognising the power our brands have to influence and shape culture.

The Role

British Vogue is seeking a Beauty & Wellness Director to lead its team and shape the brand’s editorial voice across all platforms.

The ideal candidate will bring proven leadership in beauty and wellness, along with the editorial expertise to drive a modern, thoughtful content strategy that aligns with British Vogue’s unique perspective.

This role requires strong editorial judgment, a deep understanding of the evolving beauty landscape, and the ability to manage and inspire a high-performing team.

You will oversee the development and execution of all beauty and wellness content – commissioning, editing, and conceptualising stories across digital, print, and social – while contributing to British Vogue’s flagship events and strategic brand partnerships.

Collaboration will be key, including working closely with editors across the global Vogue network to align on themes, share insights, and ensure best-in-class coverage.

What will you be doing?

  • Writing, overseeing, editing, commissioning and publishing beauty and wellness stories for all of British Vogue’s platforms, from daily news hits to larger features and exclusives.
  • Collaborating on online syndications from Vogue’s global network.
  • Creating world-class visuals on shoots in collaboration with the editorial fashion and art team.
  • Working with the team to contribute to the social, digital and video strategy for Vogue, whether ideating on projects, helping to propose or secure talent or feature in the content directly.
  • Partnering with the commerce team to create revenue driving, shoppable content online.
  • Understanding and building commercial relationships, working with the revenue teams on special projects whenever necessary.
  • Being in touch with the industry to build relationships, secure editorial exclusives and ensure that Vogue remains at the forefront of the beauty and wellness conversation.
  • Staying up to date on any and all industry developments and news to ensure that our coverage of beauty and wellness across print and digital is both informed and unique.
  • Managing a dynamic and forward-thinking beauty and wellness team to ensure seamless content ideation and production.

About You

  • You are an editor with substantial experience commissioning and editing editorial features both long and short form.
  • You will have excellent contacts and relationships in the beauty & wellness world.
  • You will have a strong mind for idea generation and execution.
  • You will be a confident editor who is able to uphold and adapt to Vogue’s tone of voice.
  • You will have experience in health-focused literacy and a deep understanding of health reporting best practices, including fact-checking.
  • You will have a keen eye for timely, thought-provoking stories that resonate with readers.
  • You will have the ability to write and edit clean, accurate, and fun copy in a fast-paced environment.
  • You will have stellar communication skills, both with internal colleagues and freelance contributors.
  • You will have experience managing and inspiring a team.

What benefits do we offer?

  • 25 days holiday (plus bank holidays) and extra days of annual leave if you move house or want to volunteer.
  • You’ll have access to a competitive pension scheme, Bupa Private Healthcare, Season ticket loans and eye tests.
  • We offer a range of tools to support your wellbeing, including core hours, 10 remote days, access to our Employee Assistance Programme, corporate gym membership and cycle to work scheme.
  • You’ll enjoy discounts and magazine subscriptions, keeping you up to date with all things Condé Nast.
  • We encourage personal and professional growth through the Condé Nast Learning Hub where you’ll find an extensive portfolio of learning courses and training, available in local languages.
  • Our Employee Resource Groups provide a platform for employees to identify shared objectives, exchange ideas, and work on community priorities for our global workforce.
