The Role
As the Supply Chain Coordinator, you will be responsible for supporting the day-to-day operation and ongoing development of the organisation’s supply chain activities. This role will enable the supply chain function to move away from purely transactional tasks and toward higher-value activities such as proactive supply risk management, cost control, and external supply chain optimisation. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is keen to learn, develop, and grow with the business.
What will I be delivering?
- Assisting with the PQ (Purchase Quote) process, working closely with Engineering to support first-to-market delivery.
- Raising and processing PQ orders across the business in line with agreed procedures.
- Tracking orders and expediting suppliers, monitoring delivery dates and escalating risks where required.
- Supporting the reject and non-conformance process, coordinating information between suppliers, Quality, and internal stakeholders.
- Liaising with suppliers on pricing and availability of off-the-shelf items.
- Supporting process mapping and documentation, helping to define and improve ways of working.
- Providing general administrative and coordination support to the wider supply chain function as needed.
What do I need to bring with me?
Essential knowledge & experience:
- Some experience in a supply chain, procurement, purchasing, or operations support role (or a relevant qualification with practical experience).
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
- Clear and confident communication skills.
Desirable knowledge & experience:
- Experience in a manufacturing, engineering, or technical environment.
- Exposure to ERP or MRP systems.
- Aware of quality or non-conformance processes.
