The Role

Reporting into the Director of Programmes and Engineering, the Product Realisation Manager will be responsible for leading the Product Realisation team to release new products design, developing and integrating state of the art environments to verify product designs.

This team will be accountable for the Realisation of all products, including design, build and delivery of bespoke product test environments, working test equipment, integration verification and test of all products.

The team will be responsible for a range of activities including verification and test planning, test specification and design, test procedures, test scripts, test execution, and test analysis/ reporting. Furthermore, they will have ownership for all bespoke test equipment (RTM, backplanes, housing etc.) and systems required for this testing. This team is responsible for all test and production software as well as all software testing.

What will I be delivering?

This wide encompassing team has a number of critical activities, therefore the key roles and responsibilities for the Product Realisation Manager will include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Managing the multidisciplined Product Realisation Team to ensure continuous development and growth of a first-class team, with clear support and guidance towards their career journeys and aspirations.
  • Develop and maintain the department budget, developing cost models and project budgets that support Product and business delivery through work package management.
  • Support the development and maintenance of product/project roadmap, providing input on research and technical developments required to deliver the business plan.
  • From board to system, develop process/tools/methodologies to support product realisation from requirements through to design proving and qualification, supporting all validation, integration and verification activities.
  • Supporting the handover of product testing to the Operations team.
  • Support establishment of engineering technical hierarchies and support continual development of staff and products via these.
  • Establish departmental interface data and actively work with other business functions to deliver this in a timely and accurate fashion.

Technical skills and qualifications
