We’re proud to be experts in what we do and are looking for a Technical Applications Specialist to join our brilliant team.
The Role
Reporting to the Director of Sales, the Technical Applications Specialist will play a critical role in growing the value of our customer engagements with technical expertise and understanding and being the technical voice of the customer. You will be working alongside our experienced and successful Sales and Commercial teams, communicating and meeting with customers and internal stakeholders. This role can be flexible with location from Colchester, Essex or our Theale, Reading office, or potentially remote but must be happy to travel to offices when needed.
What will I be delivering?
- Working with customers and technology partners to increase credibility, trust, and value for Concurrent.
- Supporting our project teams to deliver solutions that meet or exceed customer expectations.
- Drive wider understanding of technology developments on both sides by engaging with internal and external stakeholders.
- Building demonstrators, ideally with VPX knowledge; we’d also like to know if you’ve worked with VME, CPCI, COMexpress, COM-HPC, AMCs and MicroTCA.
- Tell us about your knowledge of hardware, firmware, middleware and virtualisation, RTOS and certifications in mission-critical applications.
- Willingness to meet with customers in person or online and capability to explain technical subjects to mixed audiences.
- Practical experience configuring and programming a variety of embedded devices, with x86 processors, using Linux and/or RTOS.
- Understanding of Ethernet networks, Ethernet Switches, Timing.
