The Role
Reporting into the Quality Assurance Manager, the Operations Quality Lead will play a pivotal role in assuring the quality of Concurrent’s supply chain and the manufacture of products enabling our customers' critical applications.
What will I be delivering?
- Oversee all aspects of quality assurance within UK Operations
- Define and implement quality assurance strategies and planning to client, internal R&D and industry requirements and standards
- Support and enhance the efficiency of the Operations business management system, Quality measures and controls (KPIs) and continued compliance to AS9100
- Support the Supply Chain Management team through new supplier evaluations, auditing and supplier non-conformance investigations
- Manage the internal inspection team to assure supplier quality and quality escapes to customers
- Participate in project lifecycle reviews; including quality planning for manufacture and ensuring new products are designed for manufacture and production test.
- Identify manufacturing and supply chain quality related risks and implement effective mitigation strategies
- Lead non-conformance and defect management identification, containment and corrective action. Ensuring root causes and trends are addressed through robust corrective action
- Prepare First Article Inspection reports in accordance with client requirements
- Undertaking of Audits in line with the company schedule, including supplier audits
What do I need to bring with me?
Demonstrated knowledge and experience:
- In-depth understanding of ISO9001 and or AS9100
- Working knowledge of engineering and manufacturing processes preferably in the electronics environment
- Internal auditing experience
- Problem-solving methodologies and non-conformance management
- Understanding engineering documentation and drawings
- Management of Inspection or Quality Control teams
- Experience in engineering change management
- KPIs and performance management
- Working knowledge of ERP systems
Technical skills and Qualifications:
- Degree / HND / HNC in Engineering or Quality Management or similar/equivalent discipline
- Internal Auditing certification to ISO9001:2015, EN AS9100 or similar
- Improvement focused. Six Sigma Green Belt is desirable
- Knowledge of MRP / ERP systems
- Concise planning, analytical and organizational skills with attention to detail
