We are seeking an Analytical / QC Chemist to support product characterisation, analytical development and quality control during the next stage of industrial scale-up. As Vateris progresses toward demonstration plant deployment, reliable analytical capability and process quality control will become increasingly critical.

Responsibilities

  • Operate and interpret analytical techniques including XRD, TGA, SEM, PSD and related analytical methods
  • Develop and maintain QC procedures and analytical standards
  • Support troubleshooting and process optimisation activities
  • Ensure reliable and high-quality technical data generation
  • Work closely with process, scale-up and product teams

Requirements

  • PhD in Chemistry, Materials Science or a related discipline from a top 5 UK university or equivalent leading European institution, or equivalent industrial experience in a highly relevant field
  • Typically 5+ years of experience in analytical chemistry, materials characterisation or industrial quality control environments
  • Strong experience with analytical instrumentation and interpretation of materials/process data
  • High attention to detail and strong laboratory discipline
  • Ability to work effectively in fast-paced technical development environments
  • Strong communication and cross-functional teamwork skills

Highly Desirable

  • Experience with mineral systems, powders, industrial materials or process chemistry
  • Experience supporting pilot plants, manufacturing QC or industrial process development
  • Experience in scale-up or fast-growth industrial companies
