We’re looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Assistant Management Accountant to join our finance team. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working with numbers, thrives in a collaborative environment, and wants to develop their career within a growing organisation.
Key Responsibilities
- Preparing and posting month-end journals
- Assisting in the preparation, review, and analysis of monthly management accounts, including profit & loss reporting with commentary
- Supporting the preparation of working schedules for the annual audit
- Assisting with audit queries
- Producing and monitoring cash outstanding reports
- Supporting forecasting processes
- Assisting with system upgrade testing
- Contributing to the annual overheads budget process
- Supporting the wider finance team and providing cover when required
- Assisting in maintaining and improving internal financial controls
- Supporting ad hoc projects as required by senior management
About You
- AAT / CIMA qualified (or equivalent)
- Strong Excel skills and confidence working with financial data
- Excellent attention to detail and strong follow-up skills
- Professional, reliable, and able to maintain confidentiality
- A collaborative team player who supports colleagues and contributes to a positive team culture
- Strong communication skills
- Experience within the construction industry is advantageous, but not essential
