Maintenance Estimator & Assistant Contracts Manager

About the Role

Concorde Commercial Maintenance Ltd is looking for a Maintenance Estimator & Assistant Contracts Manager to join our team and assist with the quoting, coordination and management of commercial maintenance and small works projects.

A significant part of this role will involve preparing quotations, so we are looking for somebody who can review site reports, photographs, client requests and subcontractor quotations and use this information to build accurate and commercially sensible quotations.

The successful candidate will deal with a high volume of quotations and smaller projects rather than managing one or two large construction contracts.

Works can vary considerably and may include general building repairs, shopfitting, joinery, doors, flooring, roofing, drainage, plumbing, electrical works, decorating, civils and other commercial maintenance activities.

Once works are approved, you will also help coordinate and manage the job through to completion.

Key Responsibilities

  • * Prepare a high volume of quotations for commercial maintenance and small works projects.
  • * Review work orders, client requests, photographs, site surveys and engineers’ reports.
  • * Produce clear and detailed scopes of work.
  • * Estimate labour, materials, plant, access equipment and subcontractor requirements.
  • * Obtain prices from suppliers and subcontractors.
  • * Review subcontractor quotations and ensure all required works have been included.
  • * Apply appropriate labour rates, material costs, margins and other project costs.
  • * Identify where additional information or a site survey is required before quoting.
  • * Submit quotations to clients and respond to any queries or requests for breakdowns.
  • * Revise quotations where specifications or client requirements change.
  • * Keep track of outstanding quotations and follow up where required.
  • * Assist with converting approved quotations into live projects.
  • * Arrange engineers, subcontractors, materials, plant and access equipment.
  • * Liaise with clients throughout the works.
  • * Deal with additional works and variations identified once works have started.
  • * Review completed engineers’ reports and photographs.
  • * Ensure completed works are correctly closed out and ready for invoicing.
  • * Assist the Contracts/Operations Manager with the general day-to-day running of projects.

Who We Are Looking For

Previous experience in estimating, maintenance, facilities management, construction or a trade environment would be highly beneficial.

You do not necessarily need to have previously worked as a Contracts Manager.
