Based from home, you will deliver clinical care to our clients around the Chipping Norton, Stow-on-the-Wold, Shipston area – working in a supportive team, in a Practice that really understands work/life balance and supporting patients that are truly appreciative of our care.
We are recruiting an enthusiastic, reliable, highly motivated practice nurse to join our existing clinical team. You will have excellent communication skills, and an ability to work autonomously, assessing, monitoring, and managing the care of our clients.
The role offers extreme flexibility and potential for development within the growing private sector. It would therefore suit someone who is looking for a new challenge; someone who wants to focus on delivering excellent clinical care, whilst embracing a unique opportunity to develop professionally and personally.
The role can be part or full time, and we are happy to discuss any flexible requirements.
The role will include:
- Assessment and triaging of acute illness, to establish a diagnosis and ongoing management plan.
- Working closely with the doctors in assessing, managing and supporting complex medical cases (frailty, elderly, EOL, dementia) via undertaking assessments and developing and implementing care plans; liaison with family, other health/care professionals and overseeing continuity.
- Prescribing medication appropriate to the clinical conditions, and within scope of qualifications.
- Being a point of contact for doctors in answering questions, provide clinical input into relevant clinical queries and providing guidance in areas of expertise.
- Great potential to develop personally and professionally.
The successful candidate(s) will be:
- NMC registered
- Possess a RGN qualification (required)
- Have appropriate prescribing/clinical assessment training
- Be a ‘team player’
- Be able to work independently and prioritise and delegate tasks
- Have excellent communication and organisation skills
- Clean driving licence, access to a car, and a willingness to travel
Experience of working in the community is desirable, but not essential.
