About the role:

  • This is a permanent position for a full-time role and full training will be provided, aiding continual development over time.
  • Working as a Claims Handler you will be:
  • Liaising with insurance brokers, clients, other departments and external suppliers
  • Taking calls from clients and brokers on behalf of policy holders
  • Dealing with replacement vehicle hire enquiries following a non-fault motor accident
  • Investigating liability and allegations to determine fault
  • Taking all details of the incident over the telephone
  • Requesting vehicle repair authority/payments and liaising with clients regarding vehicle total loss
  • Arranging hire vehicles to suit the client's needs
  • Liaising with respective parties in relation to hire settlement

Skills and Experience required:

  • Dealing with motor claims and/or vehicle hire
  • Office-based admin or customer service role
  • Excellent phone manner
  • Minimum of 5 GCSEs Grade A-C (or equivalent) including English and Maths
  • Skills in Word and Excel are essential
  • Confident with excellent communication skills
  • Quick learner keen to develop a career
  • Looking for a role with excellent career prospects and training
  • Proclaim case management skills preferred, not essential
  • Candidate needs to possess good business acumen
  • Self-motivated and ability to organise and prioritise tasks & workloads
  • The ideal candidate will possess experience in the full hire and repair process and GTA protocols
