Job Title: Total Rewards Specialist

Reports to: HR Projects Manager

Terms: Permanent, Hybrid (50% office based, 50% work from home)

Location: Flexible to either Dublin, Belfast or London

Salary: Global Band - GB6

PLEASE NOTE - Salary and T&C\'s are subject to change depending on agreed location.

The following ranges would apply in:

  • Republic of Ireland (€57,683 - €64,092)
  • Great Britain (£43,250 - £48,055)
  • Northern Ireland (£40,222 - £44,691)

PLEASE NOTE: The relevant Terms and Conditions will apply depending on agreed location within the ROI or UK.

Requirements: This role will be expected to have at least 20% travel to our programme countries

Role Purpose: The Total Rewards Specialist is responsible for supporting the design, implementation, and administration of pay at Concern. The role must ensure that we achieve an appropriate balance between external competitiveness, internal equity and our obligations to our supporters and those we support. In addition, the role must ensure that pay management at Concern is fair and consistent, while respecting and complying with local legislation, and that our pay processes are clear and transparent.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure governance of the Global Banding Framework, including maintenance of the role catalogues and managing the evaluation process for any new roles.
  • Conduct regular market benchmarking exercises for ROI and International staff to ensure market competitive pay ranges which align with Concern’s Pay Policy.
  • Collaborate with HR and Finance colleagues to manage annual salary planning and budgeting processes and make recommendations to SMT and the Remuneration Committee on pay progression for ROI and International staff.
  • In consultation with the International HR Advisors, work with the CD, OD and country HR Managers in the design, implementation and maintenance of pay structures in our programme countries. This would include reviewing / carrying out market bench marking exercises to ensure that we are able to attract and retain high quality talent in our programme countries
  • Ensure Concern are prepared for all of the requirements of the upcoming transposition of the EU Pay Transparency in Ireland.
  • Scope, manage and deliver Concern’s approach to Pay Parity within the sector.
  • Review and input to policies, including the Global Pay Policy Benefits policies etc., at regular specified intervals to ensure Concern continues to balance external competitiveness and our obligations to our supporters and those we support.
  • Contribute to broader total rewards initiatives, including benefits and wellbeing programmes, as required.
  • Keep abreast of sectoral trends and best practices in Total Reward.
  • Ensure all activities comply with Concern’s safeguarding standards, diversity and inclusion principles, and global policies.
  • All staff are responsible for upholding and promoting Concern’s values, including our workplace equality, diversity and inclusion, and safeguarding values.
  • All staff are required to participate and contribute as necessary towards Concern’s emergency response as and when required.

Role Holder Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in designing and maintaining Total Rewards systems
  • Qualification in compensation and benchmarking, including job evaluation, salary benchmarking, and pay structure design would be a requirement for this role.
  • Experience of designing pay structures in our programme countries would be an added advantage
  • Advanced analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data, provide insights and recommendations.
  • Ability to communicate complex pay information clearly to different audiences.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills to build effective internal relationships and influence outcomes.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and projects.

Desirable:

  • Prior experience working in the international development/humanitarian sector is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with donor compliance requirements.
  • Strong working knowledge of HRIS and salary planning tools.
