Global Head of Financial Risk and ResilienceLead the development and implementation of Great‐West Lifeco\’s global financial risk strategy, ensuring long‐term resilience across all portfolios.

ResponsibilitiesDefine and embed the strategic vision for financial resilience.Drive alignment across business units through governance forums.Represent the function at executive, regulator and rating agency engagements.Lead regulatory engagements and ensure compliance with evolving requirements.Shape enterprise‐level thinking on financial risk, leading transformative initiatives.Build and mentor high‐performing teams, fostering cross‐enterprise collaboration and succession planning.

QualificationsExtensive senior‐level experience in financial risk, capital management or balance sheet management within a regulated institution.Degree in finance, economics, mathematics or related field.CFA, CA and/or actuarial designation required.Proven ability to influence at c‐suite, board and regulatory levels.Deep expertise in asset‐liability management, market, credit and liquidity risk.Demonstrated success in leading transformational change and enterprise‐wide initiatives.Strategic thinking and sound judgment in complex, ambiguous environments.Strong leadership and collaboration skills across diverse teams and geographies.Ability to drive innovation, challenge status‐quo and deliver results.Exceptional communication and stakeholder engagement capabilities.Requirement for bilingualism (fluent French, English) for Quebec roles.
