Established in 1997, Concept provides site investigations, geotechnical/environmental consultancy, instrumentation installation/monitoring services, and survey work to customers in the construction and development sectors.
We are proud to be the primary supplier of site investigations to the London market, but also work throughout the UK. We have more experience in urban site investigations than almost anyone else in the industry – skills which we can take to other urban areas, both nationally and internationally.
🔎What You’ll Be Doing
- Undertake and manage geological, geochemical and geophysical site investigations on sites across the UK.
- Assess and manage health and safety risks and ensure that all work is conducted in a safe manner.
- Accurately record results and manage the quality of data and samples from fieldworks.
- Logging soil and rock to British and European Standards.
- Complete gas and groundwater monitoring and sampling and in situ testing.
- Reconciliation of laboratory test results with the geotechnical logs
- Preparation of reports summarizing the factual findings of fieldwork and laboratory testing.
- Assisting in the preparation of Desk Study and Interpretative reports and conducting preliminary geotechnical analysis.
- Bachelors Degree in Earth Sciences / Civil Engineering or relevant subject. Knowledge of basic soil mechanics desirable.
- Masters Degree in Geotechnical Engineering or Engineering Geology - desirable.
- Graduate Membership of a Professional Institution - desirable.
- Have a full UK driving licence and are happy to travel/stay away as needed.
- Good working knowledge of the English Language both written and spoken.

✔ CSCS Card, First Aid, EUSR (HSG47) CAT 1 & 2, SSSTS or IOSH
✔ Awareness of environmental legislation or industry H&S best practices
