Role Overview:

The Field Network Project Engineer will be responsible for deploying, supporting, and troubleshooting network infrastructure across various client sites, primarily within the Thames Valley corridor. This hands-on role includes project and support work involving multiple technologies, with a strong focus on Cisco systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Installing, configuring, and supporting network equipment onsite
  • Performing maintenance and planned preventative visits to managed service customers
  • Pre-building and shipping equipment to sites
  • Providing 2nd/3rd line support and assisting with project delivery
  • Monitoring network performance and addressing anomalies
  • Supporting network architecture and security initiatives

Candidate Profile:

  • Demonstrates strong hands-on experience with Cisco routing and switching; CCNA or equivalent preferred
  • Possesses knowledge of network security, VPNs, firewalls, and LAN/WAN technologies
  • Experience working in data centre environments and with multiple vendor platforms is advantageous
  • Holds a valid full UK driving license for travel to client locations
