Role Overview:
The Field Network Project Engineer will be responsible for deploying, supporting, and troubleshooting network infrastructure across various client sites, primarily within the Thames Valley corridor. This hands-on role includes project and support work involving multiple technologies, with a strong focus on Cisco systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Installing, configuring, and supporting network equipment onsite
- Performing maintenance and planned preventative visits to managed service customers
- Pre-building and shipping equipment to sites
- Providing 2nd/3rd line support and assisting with project delivery
- Monitoring network performance and addressing anomalies
- Supporting network architecture and security initiatives
Candidate Profile:
- Demonstrates strong hands-on experience with Cisco routing and switching; CCNA or equivalent preferred
- Possesses knowledge of network security, VPNs, firewalls, and LAN/WAN technologies
- Experience working in data centre environments and with multiple vendor platforms is advantageous
- Holds a valid full UK driving license for travel to client locations
