AV ENGINEER

A leading Audio/Visual Company, due to continued success and growth, is seeking to recruit an AV Engineer. The role involves supervising small teams of specialist engineers responsible for installing Audio Visual equipment into client premises and fulfilling client requirements. Ideal candidates will have proven experience in the AV industry, potentially looking to step up to a senior AV Engineer role.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead projects and commission corporate AV solutions
  • Install AV equipment on-site in various environments, including projection displays, interactive technologies, audio solutions, switching, video scalers, signal extenders, and digital signage
  • Build and wire racks
  • Interpret schematic diagrams, M&E drawings, and cable structures
  • Ensure compliance with Risk Assessment and Method Statements (RAMS)
  • Complete First Fix Cable routing, pulling, and cable identification
  • Erect and mount equipment brackets, mounts, and cable trunking, including cable termination
  • Install AV hardware, cable connection plates, and floor boxes
  • Construct AV equipment racks and make connections
  • Diagnose failures, investigate faults, and rectify issues to ensure timely completion
  • Demonstrate leadership qualities with excellent interpersonal and time management skills to manage engineers internally and externally
  • Maintain health and safety standards and asbestos awareness
