Supply / Demand Planner. Permanent Wednesbury Salary: £33k to £34K Hours of Work: 09.00am till 5.00pm with 30 minutes unpaid lunch. We are working in partnership with one of Europe’s largest independent manufacturers & distributor. Their headquarters are in West Midlands in the heart of the Black Country area servicing major national retailers, large food service groups and blue-chip corporations. They have grown significantly within the last few years and have ambitious plans for the future. It is an exciting time to join their team, with real opportunities to build a successful career. The Role · To analyse and track sales forecasts at customer and product level while acting as the conduit between sales and purchasing. · Be able to identify variances in actual demand vs planned demand and to make informed changes to forecasts and supply chain plans to minimise shortages and overstocks. · Plan Stock Inventory and place Purchase Orders with Suppliers as necessary to maintain appropriate stock cover. · Consult with Logistics, Suppliers and Shipping Agents as required to ensure Purchase Orders are delivered on time. · Support Warehouse and Sales teams in delivering 100% order fulfilment whilst minimising over stocks. · Identify over stocks and consult with Sales to develop plans for sale. · Communicate to Sales, Procurement and Inventory teams potential stock shortages and excess stock. · Manage day to day communication with stock control and to visit the warehouse when required. The successful candidate will have: · Minimum 3 years Supply and Demand experience, including forecasting and supplier scheduling. * Exposure to sales and operations planning. * Knowledge of MS packages, clear communication, and presentation of information. * Must be proficient in Excel and able to use pivot tables & VLOOKUP. * Ability to manage time well, prioritise tasks and work under own initiative. * Ability to take initiative in seeking solutions to problems, considering options, gathering information, and presenting considered options to management for final decision.
