We’re looking for a reliable and experienced Setting Out Engineer to join a busy civil engineering contractor delivering groundworks packages on projects across Birmingham.
You’ll play a key role in ensuring accuracy on-site, supporting the site team with setting out duties and QA documentation across drainage, foundations, roads, and other groundworks elements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Accurate setting out for groundworks (drainage, foundations, externals, etc.)
- Working from drawings and coordinating with site teams and subcontractors
- Producing as-built surveys, ITPs, and QA records
- Supporting the site engineer/project engineer with technical input
- Ensuring works are carried out in line with health and safety procedures
Requirements:
- Proven experience in setting out for groundworks
- Proficient with Total Station, GPS, and AutoCAD
- CSCS card (White or Gold preferred)
- Good understanding of QA processes
- Right to work in the UK
Desirable:
- HNC/Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent
- First Aid / SSSTS
