We are currently looking for an electrical project engineer to join a well-established controls and automation company based in the Dartford area. This company specialises in bespoke electrical solutions within the switchgear industry.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage projects from sales handover to project completion, ensuring specifications, timelines, and budget constraints are met.
  • Develop control panel / switchgear arrangements & products by studying customer requirements.
  • Ensuring correct selection of components from suppliers that meet with suitability, availability and budget targets.
  • Overseeing of product design and build stage through to installation and commissioning.
  • Integrate with production manager for factory production scheduling.
  • Liaise with suppliers ensuring adherence to project schedules.
  • Liaise with clients, attending client site meetings, leading client FAT and SAT.
  • Producing Method Statements and Risk Assessments for onsite installations.

Requirements:

  • Professional qualification(s) in Electrical Engineering.
  • Able to read, interpret and follow engineering drawings.
  • Working knowledge of LV installations, HV an advantage.
  • Experience in the specification, function and manufacture of LV switchgear, HV an advantage.
  • Good knowledge and understanding of relevant standards.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge and experience of ePlan or equivalent CAD packages.
