Suffolk County Council is seeking an experienced Business Intelligence Architect to support a key project within the Children and Young People directorate. This is a short-term contract opportunity suited to a highly skilled BI professional with strong technical and stakeholder engagement capability.

- Contract Type: Temporary Agency Worker (Inside IR35)
- Rate: £500 per day
- Duration: 23 February 2026 – 31 March 2026
- Working Hours: 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 09:00 – 17:30
- Working Pattern: Hybrid – 2 days office based, 3 days remote
Role Overview:
You will support project-based work focused on developing, enhancing, and optimising business intelligence solutions to support data-driven decision making across Children and Young People services. The role will involve working closely with senior stakeholders to design and implement BI architecture aligned with service objectives and governance standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement scalable business intelligence and data architecture solutions
- Develop reporting and analytics frameworks to support operational and strategic decision making
- Work with stakeholders to gather and translate business requirements into technical solutions
- Ensure data integrity, security, and compliance with relevant legislation and governance frameworks
- Support integration of multiple data sources and systems
- Provide technical guidance and best practice recommendations across BI platforms
- Document solutions, processes, and architecture models
Candidate Requirements:
- Proven experience working as a Business Intelligence Architect or similar senior BI role
- Strong experience designing and implementing data warehousing and reporting solutions
- Experience working with BI tools such as Power BI, SQL Server, or similar enterprise analytics platforms
- Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
- Experience working within public sector or local authority environments is desirable
- Ability to deliver project outcomes within tight timescales
